Supply Chain Thanked for Charity Donations

The generosity of Fusion’s subcontractors towards a fundraising bike ride the joint venture is involved in organising has been welcomed by its supply chain manager.

A number of subcontractors have made generous contributions of hundreds of pounds at a time to the ride, Le Tour De Central. The donors include Buckingham Group, Littlewood Fencing, Roadbridge UK, Thomson Environmental Consultants and VCG Group – companies that are supporting Fusion to deliver its enabling works contract for HS2.

The contributions help towards Fusion’s fundraising target of £15,000 which will be equally donated to two excellent causes: Bloodwise and the Lighthouse Club Construction Industry Charity.

“It is really encouraging to see the support we have received from subcontractors,” said Fusion’s Supply Chain Manager Alan Harris. “These are uncertain times for many in business, both politically and economically, so it speaks volumes that they have chosen to lend support to this event so generously.

“I would like to say a big thank you on behalf of Fusion to everyone who has donated, the organisations and the individuals who have done so too.”

Fusion colleagues have also organised a series of internal fundraising activities to support the effort – including bring and share food sales and quizzes.
